a year ago, as my modest cloud storage had filled up, I was Ticked Off, about having to purchase many, many times the cloud storage I needed, at $120/Yr! -I calculated it would take me Decades to fill that 2-TB of storage.. well, (in a Free market), just Move your files to one of the many, more Resonable competitors, right? Somehow the "high tech" company, doesn't have the "tech" to allow you to leave the relationship, & easily move those Thousands of important photos & files. -They passively aggressively keep a tight hold on Your files, making transfer Extraordinarily Slow, Painful, and totally impractical. it's Barely legal (can you say: "Class Action"?)..
& who can forget the time they got caught with an update that Purposely Slowed down the processor's inside millions of perfectly good, older phones so millions of folks would buy an unnessasary replacement phone sooner, making LOTS of extra Money for our noble company?
Then there were the Chinese sweatshops, & more recent European Union legal action amounting to nearly $2 Billion, and of course, (go figure), the US Dept. of Justice just filed an Antitrust lawsuit against our favourite behemoth..
